SEAN T. PIHL, B.A., LL.B.
Sean was raised in the Okanagan Valley before moving to Vancouver to attend the University of British Columbia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. After completing his undergraduate studies Sean attended Dalhousie Law School where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws and was called to the Bar in 1997. Sean started his legal career by articling with a major Vancouver law firm, before eventually returning to Kelowna to practice with Pihl & Associates.
Sean has an extensive volunteer background, focused on community development. He previously served as a Director of the School District #23 Student Assistance Association and as a Director and Treasurer of the Kelowna Junior Chamber of Commerce. He is currently the President of the Kelowna Bar Association, the Chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s Okanagan Civil Litigation Section and the President of the Canadian Mental Health Association (Kelowna Branch).
Sean has appeared at the Provincial, Supreme and Appellate Court levels, in addition to his extensive arbitration and mediation experience. As with the entire firm, Sean practices exclusively in the area of civil litigation, with an emphasis on employment law, commercial litigation and complex personal injury litigation.
