Alternative Dispute Resolution

This is a collection of processes designed to allow the parties to have greater control over the final result. These may be part of the Court process, or not. They include mediation, negotiation, arbitration, Judicial Case Conferences and Settlement Conferences. Some of these processes involve only the parties themselves or the parties and their lawyers. Others involve a decision-maker or an impartial third person who helps the parties to communicate their needs and wishes more effectively.
